Rio Grande Basin Bat Project & SSCAFCA Go Batty!
The Rio Grande Basin Bat Project (RGBBP) would like to thank all of our pioneering, environmentally minded volunteer sponsors and SSCAFCA (Southern Sandoval County Arroyo Flood Control Authority) for their dedication to our project. We would like to encourage other interested parties around the state to consider sponsoring a bat house for the project. It’s a great way to control insects without pesticides or insecticides and create needed artificial bat habitat for a variety of bat species.
Thank you to
Bat World Sanctuary (Batworld),
and SSCAFCA (sscafca),
for their generous ongoing support.
We are also Bat World Rio Grande Basin (BWRGB), a regional Bat World Sanctuary Rescue Center and a permitted bat rehabilitator in the state of New Mexico. Our focus is to rescue injured, downed or orphaned bats within Corrales and surrounding Sandoval County. Rescued bats are returned to their natural environment when possible. Bats that are not releasable are offered lifetime sanctuary with a Bat World Rescue Center. We strive to increase public awareness about safety issues regarding the inappropriate handling of bats.
RGBBP and SSCAFCA promotes B.A.T.S
which stands for
“Biological Alternative To Spraying”.
